Highlights include developments in medical and operational capabilities, strategic air medical transport, and in-flight bio-containment
INMM accepted with a genuine pleasure the invitation of Colonel Alessandro FIORINI, Director of the Main Infirmary of Pratica di Mare, to take part as a Gold Sponsor in the commemorative event marking the “20th Anniversary of the establishment of the Main Infirmary of Pratica di Mare and of the first high-biocontainment flight”, held at Pratica di Mare Air Base on 13 October 2026.
The event celebrated twenty years of activity of the Main Infirmary, retracing its key milestones and highlighting the evolution of its medical and operational capabilities, with particular emphasis on strategic aeromedical transport, biocontainment, and support to operations in both national and international contexts.
For INMM, being part of this important occasion represented not only a moment of significant institutional value, but also a valuable opportunity to exchange views on the future requirements and capabilities in the fields of aeromedical evacuation and air medical transport.
"We will continue to place our expertise, engineering capabilities, and experience - the Company management underlined - in the development of integrated aeromedical solutions at the service of increasingly safe, effective, and mission-ready systems, capable of responding to the most complex operational requirements".
"Our sincere thanks go to Colonel Alessandro Fiorini, the Main Infirmary of Pratica di Mare, and the Italian Air Force for the invitation, the warm welcome, and for giving us the opportunity to share such a meaningful anniversary".
