INMM obtains European patent for innovative decision support system in healthcare emergencies

On July 11, 2025, the European Patent Office (EPO) officially granted INMM European patent EP3341873 entitled “System and Method for Aiding an Operator in an Emergency Situation Involving a Patient”, which can be viewed at this link: https://worldwide.espacenet.com/patent/search/family/054542454/publication/EP3341873A1?q=16781541.4

The patent protects an integrated system based on:

• Wearable biometric TAGs for patient monitoring
• Smart mobile devices for automated analysis of vital parameters
• Personalized therapeutic procedures based on the operator's profile and the patient's clinical severity (an area in which AI will be of great help) on board aircraft and vehicles during evacuations
